Communication. Are you good at keeping in touch with people? When you are on the phone, do you talk more than you listen? Do you think real cards are better than e-cards?

Althougth it's consider less personal I beleive that technology it's more effective when you want to get people closer and really fast. There are almost no barriers for technology such as geography and condition.
here I want to share with you some of the new ways to communicate:

Electronic Mail and Discussion Groups
Facilities such as electronic mail, usually called email, are the most used form of network communications. As the name implies, it means sending messages to other people, but in electronic form rather than through the post office. e-mail makes it easy to send a message not just to one person, but to several or even hundreds at the same time. This mass mailing capability has led to facilities such as discussion groups and mailing lists, where people who are interested in a particular subject can post topics for the whole group to read and discuss. Moderated discussion groups take this concept a step farther by having someone facilitate and consolidate the flow of communication as a service to group members.
Electronic Newsgroups
Consider how the Internet is changing the ways we distribute news. With thousands of new information sources, people are no longer locked into traditional communications channels such as newspapers or television, which require large capital investments. Electronic newsgroups are similar to reading your local newspaper, except you read them on-line and each newsgroup has a specific focus, such as politics or pets or almost any other subject you can imagine. Anyone can start a newsgroup, discussion group or a listserve (a kind of electronic mailing list which people subscribe to) based around communities of interest.
These communities can become powerful. Intel's public relations fiasco over miscalculations with their Pentium chip some time ago was largely due to Internet communications that proliferated the issue before Intel's PR department or the traditional media knew anything about it. This incident is another example of how people and organizations must adapt to the new patterns and channels of communication in a networked worl

On these days every person have access to Internet and portability it's going to be the top business achievement for the whole world no matter if you are maker or consumer. Stay in touch have a new meanning and it's absolutely neccesary to learn to use these new great ways to established a communication to the world.

Things to happen. Share an experience about a time when you lost or broke something. Think of a short anecdote about something that happened to you this week. Share your ideas.

I believe that the most shameful moment in my life was at the age of eigth and it was during my aunt's wedding as I remember because like all the good stories it envolves drinking.
Everything starts when some of my friends and family started to dance and smoke and talk and all the kids were stuck at the kitchen, well I discover where the waiters keep the liquor and there's nothing dangerous than a bored boy. We built a tower using all the chairs we can lift and put on. Finally and not to be busted by any waiter one of us, well I climb the tower made of chairs and took one cup of Champaigne everytime a waiter walked out of the kitchen. So after an hour and a half I was drunk and I felt and went out and got into a bus. Maybe that's not going to be weird if I told you first that all the people who was invited came in busses thanks to my new uncle and his particullary sense of humor.
Well for the next 3 hours the party went down because all my family were looking up for me while I was deeply sleep in the bus.
But that's not all when I finally woke up I was really fired up for dancing and my parents kept everything in video, even the very moment when I dance with the bride and all the maid of honnor.

If you feel under pressure at work or when you study, how do you cope with stress? What are your common relaxation techniques? Do they actually work for you? Share your experience.

Coping with Stress

Ever since I was promoted and became a leader of a group of persons I started to feel the necessity to understand the Stress. So one day I found a very interesting study and now I am going to try to sum up for you.
Make time for fun and relaxation

Beyond a take-charge approach and a positive attitude, you can reduce stress in your life by nurturing yourself. If you regularly make time for fun and relaxation, you’ll be in a better place to handle life’s stressors when they inevitably come.

Don’t get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that you forget to take care of your own needs. Nurturing yourself is a necessity, not a luxury.

  • Set aside relaxation time. Include rest and relaxation in your daily schedule. Don’t allow other obligations to encroach. This is your time to take a break from all responsibilities and recharge your batteries.
  • Connect with others. Spend time with positive people who enhance your life. A strong support system will buffer you from the negative effects of stress.
  • Do something you enjoy every day. Make time for leisure activities that bring you joy, whether it be stargazing, playing the piano, or working on your bike.
  • Keep your sense of humor. This includes the ability to laugh at yourself. The act of laughing helps your body fight stress in a number of ways
So I've shared this with my co-workers and before a long meeting we all agreed to pay an small fee that is going to be invest in entertainment activities every last weekend, monthly.
